Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

Copytopus is pre-launch. The only personal data we collect today is what you type into the waitlist form. This page explains exactly what that is, why we have it, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted.

The short version. We collect your email address, which prop firms you trade with, and what you'd be willing to pay — and only if you choose to submit the waitlist form. We use it to tell you when Copytopus launches and to understand what to build. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and there are no analytics or tracking cookies on this website. Email hello@copytopus.com at any time and we will delete it.

Who is responsible for your data

Copytopus is an early-stage product built by its founder, Mohamed Abdelhamid, who is the data controller for the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. Copytopus is not yet incorporated; when a company is formed, that company will become the controller and this page will be updated to say so.

Contact for anything on this page, including deletion requests: hello@copytopus.com.

What we collect

Only what you submit through the waitlist form on our homepage. Nothing else. There is no account to create, no product to log into, and no payment to make.

WhatWhy we askRequired?
Your email addressTo tell you when Copytopus opens, and to honour founding-member pricing if you claim itYes
Which prop firms you trade withTo decide which firms and platforms we support firstOptional
What you'd be willing to payTo sanity-check our pricing before launchOptional
Submission timestamp and a form submission IDGenerated automatically by the form; used to keep signups in order and avoid duplicatesAutomatic

We do not ask for and do not want: your name, your phone number, your address, your trading account numbers, your broker or prop-firm passwords, or any payment details. If you send any of these to us anyway, we will delete them.

Why we are allowed to hold it (legal basis)

Your consent, given when you submit the form. That is the only basis we rely on. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and withdrawing it costs you nothing except your place on the waitlist.

Who else processes it

Three parties besides us, each doing one job:

WhoWhat they receiveWhy
Tally (tally.so)
form provider
Everything you type into the form, because the form itself is theirs — it is embedded on our page but hosted by themThey run the form and pass your submission to us
Our server
a private virtual server we rent
The full submission, stored in a single append-only file that is not public and is not in any code repositoryIt is our own copy, so we are not dependent on Tally
Telegram
messaging app
A short notification containing the prop firms and the willingness-to-pay answer, plus a running signup count. Your email address is not included in this notification. So the founder knows a signup happened without sitting at a dashboard

That is the complete list. We do not use an email marketing platform, a CRM, an advertising network, or an analytics provider. If we add one before launch, we will update this page before we start sending data to it.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no visitor tracking. We do not know who visits this site or where you came from.

The one exception is outside our control: the waitlist form is an embedded frame served by Tally, and Tally may set its own cookies or storage inside that frame in order to make the form work. That is governed by Tally's own privacy policy, not by this one. If you never interact with the form, you never touch Tally.

Where your data is held

Our copy of the waitlist is held on a private server we rent in the United States. Tally stores submissions on its own infrastructure under its privacy policy, and Telegram notifications pass through Telegram's infrastructure.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, this means your data is transferred to and stored in the United States, which is outside the UK/EEA. We rely on your explicit consent for that transfer, given when you submit the form. If you would rather your data were not transferred to the US, please do not submit the form — and if you already have, email us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

Until Copytopus launches and you have had the chance to take up a founding place, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the product never launches, we will delete the waitlist rather than keep it.

To be straightforward about it: deletion is a manual process at this stage, done by hand by the founder across all three places listed above. It is not automated. It does get done — email us and you will get a reply confirming it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you can ask us to:

One email to hello@copytopus.com covers any of these. We aim to respond within a few days and are required to respond within one month. There is no charge, and you do not have to give a reason.

If you are in the EU or UK and you think we have handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Security

The form is served over HTTPS. Our copy of the waitlist sits on a server that is not publicly readable and is excluded from our code repository. Access to it is limited to the founder.

We will not pretend to more than that. Copytopus is a small pre-launch project, not a company with a security team. What we can say honestly is that we hold very little about you, and nothing sensitive.

Children

Copytopus is for funded futures traders and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant — a new processor, a new purpose — and we hold your email address, we will tell you by email rather than expecting you to notice.
